So I have a friend with a 99 Cobra that has been having issues with the way his car idles and after talking to him I found out that he replaced the TPS on his car but never set the voltage and I had told him that when I replaced my throttlebody and plenum I had to adjust the tps to get the voltage at .98 to get my car to idle correctly. I have followed the same steps I did with my 2003 GT but can not get a voltage reading of any sort from his. Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated. I have even had him hold the ground wire on my volt meter to the ground on his battery and tried to get any sort of signal from all three wires. The process I used to adjust mine was stuck a pin through the grey wire with white stripe and the grey wire with red stripe, turned the ignition to the on position and place the volt meter on DC, touched the red wire to the grey/white and black to grey/red, twisted the tps to where the volt meter read .98 and then tighted the two screws back down and mine has been perfect since.
