i love my 04 cobra. yes the interior may offer a little less luxury but the cobra is a purpose built car and i love everything about it even the interior. theres nothing like hitting the corners with the IRS and hitting the throttle on the straits and hearing the blower whine. i wouldent get rid of my cobra for anything. having driven both, s197 GTs are nice cars but they are no 03 04 cobras by any means

go with the 03/04 cobra and never look back. the terminators is SEXY, fast, reliable, all around better in my opinion.

If I had to do it all over again I would have gone with a 03/04 Cobra back then. Now however, I am going ordering a 2011 5.0 in late winter or early spring depending how fast I get my truck paid off. The only reason I didn't buy a 03/04 Cobra in 2006 is because I knew I would have to drive it through at least one winter before I could afford a beater. So, I couldn't do that to a Cobra. S197 GT it was!

Damn! These cars are a bit hard to find. I found one that is 72 miles away with 50,000 miles. It has a few mods such as a K/B S/C and the asking price is $19,995. Another one only has 15,800 miles and the asking price is 23,900 but I am not too crazy about yellow. Other than that there are a few convertibles that range from $18,000 to $34,000 but I would rather have a coupe.

cobra....

And don't look back! I would get the cobra if you can find one in good condition. Ive been very fortunate to have owned an 07 GT with a saleen supercharger and now and 09 GT500 BUT last year I found an 04 Cobra on ebay with 7500 miles, whipple supercharged and pullied(17psi), full exhaust(kooks/bassani), pro 5.0 shifter, eibachs and 305/35/18 Nitto's tuned to 579rwhp. I could not pass it up and I'm glad I didn't. It is THE MOST FUN car i've ever owned. It hooks up and RAGES. You will scare the piss out of the average guy out there that pulls up next to you. If you like being strapped to a rocket, u will like it. It's just a different feel than the s197s. Smaller car(weighs a little more i think with the irs), but it is a lot of fun. It was $26k and the best money i've ever spent. I live in San Diego, if you ever want to check it out sometime if you're still trying to decide, let me know. Good luck, having said all that... either way, you win!

I will have to check it out sometime. Are you part of any local groups/clubs such as socalstangs? Also, I wasn't sure if you knew about street legals at Fontana this Saturday? A few of us are going up from the San Diego area.

We are meeting up around 4:30-4:45 A:M and leaving just before 5:00. I am also part of socalstangs and wickedstangs. A few other local events is the Irvine Spectrum car meet on Saturday Dec 5 and the every Saturday Carlsbad Car meet at the Carlsbad outlet.
