Average cost of replacing front brakes

I just need to know the average price of replacing the front brakes in my 03 cobra...ford is gonna set me up with motorcraft pads that are slightly less expensive, the total they gave me is 300 plus tax...sound right? I do know that brembos carry a bigger tag..and ford warranties their work so I chose them over a shop...input?

Cobra pads are usually pretty expensive so the price is about right. Why are you worried about a warranty on brakes? Do them your self and save some money.

I paid $120 for Porterfields for my Cobra...

+1 on the "is this just pads or?" question.

Like stated above, do them yourself and save some money, the job is a cake walk even for a beginner.

I have always had great luck with hawk ceramics, had them on all of my stangs without a single problem, and the dust is very, very low which I love since my cars are all DD's.

hopefully for $300 they arent just putting pads on it and calling it a day lol.
no way in H-E-double hockey sticks would i pay that. a good set of Hawk pads is about $100 and maybe an hour of your time for a beginner.

Do it yourself and save about $200. It is VERY easy to do.
After you take off the tire it is literally only 2 bolts.

Take off wheel after securing car properly with jack stands
Take off 2 caliper bolts
Remove pads from caliper
Use a c-clamp and an old pad to push caliper piston back in.
grab new pads and toss some lube on them.
put them into the caliper
put the caliper back onto the rotor and put the bolts back in.
put the wheel back on and lower the car. Start car and pump the brakes until you regain pressure.

That is about it man. It is an hour job at most; maybe 2 for a beginner.
