Mark VIII swap pats question?


Just put 97 Mark VIII 4.6 in 99 gt. Car fired up and ran I shut it have the theft lights blinks and on it wont start up just cranks any help? Thanks
I did have a alt wire off and had to fix the battery did go dead would this cause Blinking light? fixed alt wire still nothing

if theft light si blinking, then you have a PATS failure. a dealership will have to straiten it out for ya.

YEah kept stock ecm and wiring and all. the alt wire came undone and battery light came on and car stoped running. rewired alt wire and charged battery car started and ran fine I shut it off because to oil gauge wasnt working but it has oil pessure so i go to start and it wont start, just cranked over and theft light blinking every 2 or 3 seconds? go battery pos off over night to maybe reset pats

there is no CEL on and no codes on computer

You'll need the PATS info re-written to match your key fob w/ the computer.

Thanks Guys! Dead battery alt wires crossed... New battery fixed alt wires fired right up!!! no problems all day... NO only problem on the swap now is no oil pressure gauge have oil pressure just the gauge ant workn?? ne help??

quick question kind of related. I'm doing the same swap in a 82 fox. Will i have to turn of the pats system? I'm using the wiring harness and computer from the 95 mark 8
