Straight trade is cool, if you can afford more, might as well put down enough for a termi

I agree with that statement. You can pick up a termi for 18k.

The OP said his was a salvage title. A clean LS2 GTO goes for about the same price as a Termi.

i'd say judging by the year his car is a 6.0 the GTO will outrun the 01 Cobra by a little. but the 01 is black...and it does have the nice interior lol. if its a straight trade i think i would do it.

I dont think you can every down grade from a LS Grand Prix...I mean GTO.

Cobra would be a much better trade

no way in hell is any ford (with exception of maybe a GT) better than a LSX

Goats dont look good and are heavy.

I think the GT has proven itself time and time again it's better then a LSx.

Only reason I can see to do this would be for title reasons.

I'd keep the GTO, myself, even if it was "only" a 5.7 car.

It's not terribly heavy compared to the new cars coming out. The 2011 GT in Vert trim weighs the same as the GTO ~3700 lbs.

NO WAY I would trade a 6.0 GTO for a '01 Cobra. It would have to be one nasty 01 Cobra you were getting (which is not the case here). GTO is faster, WAY better interior, 6.0. I wouldn't.
