Engine slip under boost

Lately when I boost my 03 cobra, the engine slips considerably. Its almost the same effect as losing traction for a second (but ive got brand new eagle f1s on the back so I know that aint it)...any thoughts?

Yep, check your clutch adjuster which is on the driver side attached to the firewall. Turn it in.

How can it be clutch slip when the clutch is not engaged

??

To me, the clutch is OPEN when your foot is down, and ENGAGED when your driving in gear. If your driving along and you punch it and the rpms spike but your not losing traction, that is a slipping clutch.

Usually when your clutch starts to slip its not an adjustment issue. Its more than likely a sign of wear or contamination and will have to be replaced.

I think I know what belt slipping means..i said engine because im having trouble with my idle which im sure is due to my tps, my air filter needs to be recharged and the pulley shroud cracked away from its arm that bolts to the blower..meaning it could be one of several different things causing it..furthermore, im not having any problem at all with my clutch without boost..which leads me to believe the clutch isnt the problem..cause this wasnt a slow progression..it started happening out of nowhere..ill take it to a fucken mechanic you guys are usless

Dude chill out. No one knows wtf engine slip or an air filter recharged is and were trying to help.

Second its not the boost. When you accel harder your clutch is put through more stress so it slips. Seriously its not fricken rocket science and i suggest you tone down the attitude if you want to maintain a membership around here.

Do you know anything about cars at all? Difference between a oil dipstick and a transmission? That isn't a insult either, Just trying to give you the best advice. If you dont then i would probably take it to a dealer.

Filter recharge probably means he has a K&N and he wants to get a recharge kit for it so he can ruin his MAF sensor....

Also, OP, just because your clutch is not slipping out of boost doesn't mean its not the clutch. The more load, the more likely it is to slip. Just like WhiteVenom said...

Neggg'd.

Also for your "idle issue" clean your IAC. (idle are control motor) Im pretty sure theres 2 8mm bolts to take it off, takes 5 mins.
Thats what it looks like. Take your time, Dont break the gasket, Use wd40, carb cleaner, silcon spray etc.

Wow, first of all I am a technician I went to school for it. The way you explained it made very little sense and any mechanic is gonna think you mean the same thing explaining it that way. What I will do with you that I wouldnt do to a customer is call you an idiot and have a horrible day faggot.
