1994 4.6L head swap question

I've had this question in the back of my head for a while, I've got a 1994 Crown Vic sittin next to my dads shop with the 4.6 and AOD trans, i picked the car up for 100 bucks with 136,000 miles on it. Its life came to an end when it was the senor class's car bash car (if that made sense!). Anyways its going to be the power plant for my 66 F100 shortbed and in the near future im looking to maybe swapping all the EFI for a carb setup, but I've been pondering over options on the heads. I've thought about the PI heads just to get me by for a while. Then maybe investing in some Trickflow heads, but I was wondering would the 4V heads off a cobra or mach 1 swap over to a 2V motor? What about the 3V heads? Is there a difference between the 94 & 95 4.6s as compared to the 96-04?

Im still new to the mod motors, im more of a small/big block ford guy so dont bash me too hard

Thanks!

Trick flow heads are a waste of mod motors. That engine is fine, and a pi swap will add power.

In my opinion, find a 32v mark viii engine. They for 300 bucks all the time on the dallas craigslist. Just keep your eyes peeled.

OH and check if it will fit. 4v mod engines are wider that big blocks.

Im sure it'll fit under the hood of that truck, theres plenty of room left with the 400 big block in there...

But will 4V heads swap over to a '94 4.6?

Yes but you need 1500 in parts to make it work... Google it and there are a bunch of threads on the swap and everyone of them says possible but expensive. Use the search top right

From what I've read and what a couple people on other forums have said, some say you might be better off with a good set of heads, cam gears, and cams to save you both time and money wise and better performance too

Now idk what to think lol
