Painting valve covers and intake, help and photos needed.

I recently started removing my valve covers and upper intake so i could clean and liven them up a bit, im thinking about doing black and getting a set of chrome spark plug covers, but mostly because i have nothing else to do and the winter months without playing with my car are driving me nuts. i am having some trouble getting the passenger side valve cover off. If anyone has done this on car please throw me some pointers on how to get that little buggah off. Also if anyone has done this please post some pictures of your engine bay.

it sucks but your going to have to discharge the a/c lines and move them out of the way then remove the coil bracket it is still a pain in the ass but there is just barely enough clearance to maneuver it our of the way. good luck but.

ps. the last time i pulled my valve covers i accidentally nicked the cam retainer and it moved the gasket out and caused an annoying ass leak right onto my header. a 550hp smocking cobra just doesnt look right lol.

i actually got them off without discharging the a/c, it took some careful jacking and two broken motor mounts that actually helped me out.i removed the fuel lines and the heater core hoses and then jacked up on the oil pan making just enough clearance.

good deal then lol. im actually getting mine powder coated but luckily i had a head gasket blow on me with only a month left on my warranty from my job (i installed the motor there and it came with 12months 12k miles) so my car is in the air and my motor is on the ground. made removing the valve covers easier. im killing 4 birds with one stone.(1) "c" head conversion, (2) powder coated valve covers with (3) AN bungs welded to them (4) and setting my self up for an eaton swap next tax return. good luck with your project.

P.S- while my motor was out i put in my solid motor mounts. i have an extra set of polyurethane left over from that swap. they only have about 3k miles on them. if your interested shoot me a PM and we can work out a deal. since yours are shot.

this what you are looking for?

props to you for getting those valve covers off with the motor still in the car. that had to be a real bugger for sure. i cant imagine what it took to get the drivers side off with the master cylinder/hydro boost right there.
