Is Kooks really the top dog for engineering amd performace exhaust?

Should Kooks be my choice, and do they offer a complete system?
I figure that I can get a COUPLE goodies prior to my build because a longblock doesn't come with the goodies I'm gonna need.

The aluminator longblock is what I'm going to get, so headers can be switched without hassle from my block to an aluminator block, right?

i have Bassani mid length headers, Bassani high flow cats, Bassani x-pipe, Pypes stainless steel cat back with pypes (race pro, violators, straight pipe) mufflers. my whole exhaust system is slip together with band clamps so i switch between the different mufflers and straight pipes. that way i can get a different sound when i want it in only 30 min.

the headers can be switched form your current setup to your new setup as long as you have the same kind of heads. they will transfer over if you go from 2v to 2v or from 4v to 4v but not if you go from 2v to 4v.

my answer pointed out that there are OTHER top dogs in the exhaust world, and keep your options open by doing a slip together setup. that way you dont get bored with what you have.

Nah, I just heard that they fit without bending or crimping the pipes.

I don't like hassle.

Also, I like something that shows the real power of the vehicle... not just excessively loud.

I don't think anyone is able to respond to your last sentence. I don't get it.

But I can tell you what I have... Stock manifolds, Bassani off road H pipe, Bassani CB. I get mad compliments everywhere.

Can't help you with Kooks, but I do feel like in the 4v world owners rant and rave about specific exhaust hardware. That being Kooks longtubes, Bassani off road X pipe, and Borla Stinger cat back.

I love Kooks that just me...

The headers will work work with the aluminator block but ONLY if you use the same type heads...2v header wont work on a 4V or vice versa...

I have kooks LT's on my cobra. I had kooks LT's on my gen 2 lightning. The build quality is top notch. If I didnt get kooks the only other brand I would think about getting would be ARH american racing headers.

SHM made the best long tubes for the 4.6. They are no longer in production but they would be the absolute top of the line ones you could get

ARH, SLP, kooks, hooker, would be my top choices in that order.

Thanks guys, but I realize I've been a little immature about the way i was going about things, and I've come to the conclusion that the best thing to do right now, would to just save X amount and put a down payment on an '03 Termi. If I'm going to spend as much money as i was going to, I could have bought a Termi, probably, and had left overs for a pulley, intake, exhaust, and tune.

So either 1 monster that will slide into a ditch with a small mistake, or a stock Mach 1 and a stock Cobra (Hopefully). I'll choose the latter.

I could have a decent down payment ready by the end of the year come bonus time and there's a dealership that always has 2 or 3 Termis at a time down here.

Until then, the only mod my Mach is getting is a rebuilt rear end.

Personally my 3.8L 1997 Mustang was totalled by a F150 pulling out in a red light when I was going 45 M.P.H. I almost cried to myself when this happened, but out of it I got a 2004 Mach 1, and I could not be happier with the 4.6L dual overhead cam at stock.
