3.8 to 4.6 DOHC swap (making sure I have everything)

Anyone that has done a 3.8 to 4.6 DOHC, I'd like to go over what I have ready to go in and make sure Im not going to need anything else before I start...
First off the car is a 2004 base model mustang with the 3.8 auto...
The motor im swaping in is a fully dressed 1999 Cobra with a T-45 on the k-member ready to install
I have-
ALL wires from a 1999 cobra. (nose to tail)
1999 cobra speedometer
1999 cobra ecu
clutch pedal assembly
hydroboost system
driveshaft from a GT that had the T-45
mishimoto alluminum radiator
8.8 rear w/ 4:30 gears
Sniper tuner to turn off PATS and get a tune

I have some extras like bbk long tubes, bbk catted h-pipe, flowmasters, line lock, steeda short throw shifter, spec alluminum flywheel w/ Luk pro gold clutch kit, bbk clutch cable and quadrant, some cooling mods ect..

It appears I can use the stock fuel pump. I checked the part number and its the same and the emissions appear to me like I can just run my vac lines from the engine into the emissions that is already on my car. That about it. I just want to see if anyone that has done this ran into any suprises. Thanks for any input.

sounds like you got everything you need. Let me know what you think of the sniper tuning, I'll probably be using that for my engine swap as well

can a 210hp v6 use the same fuel pump as a 320hp cobra? Not so sure about that, but i havent put any research into it. Just doesn't seem right. IMO

PS..

Please don't add ANY of this bullshit to the exterior of your car. They look so much better with a stock body, lowered, with a nice set of wheels.

"this is what the outside will look like after im done..minus the chic"

Speed Concepts - CBRAPMP9801 - OEM fuel pump for 1998-2001 Cobra/2001 bullitt/2003-2004 Mach1

Motorcraft part # PFS200

Pump module is also OEM on these applications:
FORD F-250 SUPER DUTY PICKUP (1999 - 2004)
FORD F-350 SUPER DUTY PICKUP (1999 - 2004)
FORD F-450 SUPER DUTY PICKUP (1999 - 2004)
FORD F-550 SUPER DUTY PICKUP (1999 - 2004)
FORD MUSTANG (2001 - 2004)
FORD MUSTANG BULLITT 2001
FORD MUSTANG COBRA (1998 - 2001)
FORD MUSTANG GT (1998 - 2004)
FORD MUSTANG MACH 1 (2003 - 2004)

according to this the 99-00 v6 pump must be a bit different, but if this is OEM on the 01-04 v6 than the op's stock pump should still be fine as there is only a 3 hp difference between the 99-00 and 01-04 v6 motors.

yeah I checked what the fuel pressure is supposed to be for the 99 cobra and its the same as my v6. plus the part number is the same for the pump and even the fuel pump driver module is the same. So I should be good to go. I have a fuel pressure guage to put on the fuel line just to make sure im getting the correct pressure.

89StangGT-...I did like the look of the black mustang above but I dont care for the rear window scoops. The ONLY thing im doing to the exterior is putting on a 03-04 cobra rear bumper cover and a cobra-R front cover. I've been considering getting the rear window louvers but im still not sure. I like my stock hood which my car has the gt hood (came on the 40th anniv. edition) I've also changed my mind about the side exhaust as well. I also have lowering springs for it. I think the are 1 1/2"

Thanks for all the replies..

I definetly wouldnt be doing this swap if I had not come across the CRAZY deals I been finding...some people just dont know what they have. For example...the 99 cobra engine-$1k w/ 22k miles on it from a trusted guy I know, T-45 $250 w/ 28k miles on it (another trusted friend), all but new bbk long tubes $75 bucs!(MPS) ALL the wires- $400(ebay). A PERFECT CONDITION 03-04 cobra rear bumper cover $150! very nice leather seats-$250 (same guy I got the engine from). Hyrdroboost-$75. Everything else I bought new so I didnt save too much on the other stuff.
It all adds up but like I keep telling people that ask why,- I cant get back the money I spent on my v6 so I might as well put some cash in my car instead of selling it for maybe 3500 and loosing 4k. so I take another 4k and build a cobra I can say "I" built..So you can say I spent about....12k TOTAL for what is going to be a bad ass car that I know inside and out.
.Just some food for thought
Oh, next year depending on the funds...motor rebuild with forged internals and yes the good ol' S/C

I am also doing the swap but in a month after I finish building my turbo 4V, I'd say your list of parts is decent. There are some other parts I think you are missing but can't think of them off the top of my head

If that's your V6 car in your sig, you have the best looking sixxer I've ever seen, props.

Coming from a V6 to a N/A 32v will be plenty fun for a while, especially if you do some gears with it as well. The S/C swap down the road will be even funner.

Glad to hear that! I'm not a huge fan of the Cobra R front cover, but it's better than some I've seen!
