Has anyone removed there hand built plaque on their valve covers?????

I am planning on having my valve covers overlaid in carbon fiber and am wondering if anyone has found a way to remove the hand built plaque on the passenger side valve cover free of damage and reattach it?

it's only held on by foam glue, just get a corner up then peel it off. take your time so you don't bend it if you want to reuse it.

Not real sure how it will work on this but for glues on things that I want to preserve as best I can I will do the following.

Heat it up with a heat gun.
Take a piece of high tensile strength fishing line(make sure its fairly thin) and pull it behind the badge so that it will cut through the glue.

I have done that on the badges that are glued to body panels and it works pretty well.
