Mach 1 oil change for 109,000 mile mark question.

I've changed it twice since I've owned her. Both times with full synthetic. The first time, I noticed dramatic increase in in mileage with Castrol (?). The next time she got Royal Purple, and continued up with better mileage and start-ups. I recall getting a little heavier weight (I think 10W-20 instead of the factory 5W-20). Should I stick with the 10W-20 even though the Florida heat is right around the corner, also, like I said in the Topic, this is 109K miles.

Answer... fast! I'm headed to Advance in a few.

Stay with 5W-20, due to the tighter clearances of the Mod Motor. Especially if you drive in colder weather.

Florida heat... not cold. All right, well I picked up the 5W-20 so that's going in as soon as I can. They say Royal Purple is good for 7,000 miles, but I've always done it every 3,000 even with my 2006 F-150.

What does a quart of 5w-20 Royal Purple cost in Florida? It's about $6.99 here in Ohio.
