4v idles fine then lags when you give throttle?????????????

Ok just got my 4v swapped in place of the old 6cyl. I got it running and runs good but when its at idle, about 850 rpm or so, and i give it just a tiny bit of throttle it will die down then kick in. whats up with that?? or if i try and give it a full throttle rev, it will die down for a split second then go.. I did tune it but the only thing i tuned for was long tubes and catted h-pipe. I was thinking maybe the coils but its a pretty expensive guess at the problem. the other thing im thinking is the fuel lead off line im using is from the v6 and i had to move it around and now it goes up, down, around, then to the fuel rail. I have the correct one coming and i hope that might fix it. all the sensors are pretty much new. so i dont know...its not the fuel pump or the fpdm because they worked fine before the swap and are the same part number for the 99 cobra motor and the 04 v6 i had in the car. also if i raise the rmp a little then hit the gas it will be fine..wtf

also have an alluminum flywheel. idk if that will effect the rev because of the inertia or what...just seems like it getting too much air or not burning the fuel quick enough

Maybe running a little rich? That's a tough one man, good luck with it. I don't have a Hayne's on me but it sounds like hesitation? Or does that mean something else...

yeah ill try cleaning the maf if that and the correct fuel line dont do the trick ill look into some new cop's, they are probably due for a change, they were in the engine when i bought it so...anyone familiar with the special forces tuner? thats what i have and kinda nervous about going in and messing with the lean and rich..

ok i think i figuired out the problem. I put my special forces tuner on recon mode to check parameters during idle and everything looked fine. fuel trim temp, everything. But i still had the hesitation when i punched the gas?? I cleaned the maf and no improvement. So i unplug the maf and the problem went away except the rpms would jump around (expected) so im ordering a new maf and hopefully that will FINALLY do the trick. Its gotta be it, i replaced every other sensor on the fricken thing. all except the pricey cop's...I should have the maf in a couple days so i'll post the results.
