Took the Mach to the Track and Broke her Cherry
Yup, I took her out today, I was running my 5.0's tires which are 275/60/15's MT et's. I found out (This cars a 5-speed) that a line lock would be nice lol. I didn't think of this until I left to do the burn outs in 2nd, cause when I was in 1st it just didn't seem to cut it but anyways
I cut a 13.1 @104.something and a 1.83 60 foot launching at 2-2500... I tried to launch higher but the track wouldn't hold it. These runs were on a full tank of gas too .. I didn't even think about that last night when I filled up.. And I have subs and amp haha. I am happy with that time, There was another Mach running the same times as me with more done to his car. My Mod's are: UPR Upper and Lowers Sportline Springs FRPP 4.10's o/r X-pipe SLP LM Cat-back JLT CAI SCT tune from BAMA Short throw And the 5.0's tires He had 4.30's, 31 spline axles and new diff, SLP LT headers and everything I have and was cutting the same times, So I am good with mine Oh yeah it was a cool day and kinda damp, there was still water in a lot of the pit area from last nights rain. Tim

Good times for your first time out in the car. Get that RPM up on the launch and you'll be in the 12s.

I know, I can tell that 4K or so is where she would be very happy, but the track wouldn't hold that yesterday :/ It weird but the mach seems to be as fast, if not a little faster, then my 5.0 H/C/I swapped car lol.

Not bad. My best before the eaton was 13.26/104.43 with a 2.00 60'. That was street tires and a K&N CAI.

Sounds like it should be a bit quicker for what's done. My 01 Cobra on 18s went 13.1 @ 106 with a 1.9 sixty foot with nothing done but a X pipe and 4.10 gears. Stock airbox, and all. Must have been fun to get to the track though! It's always a blast..as long as nothing breaks!

Yea, my 60 foot times are HORRID. Even with a huge smoky burnout, I can't give it full throttle till 20mphish, or I just end up spinning really bad.
I don't think you understand how bad these tires are haha. I'm pretty sure with some tires I could easily do a 9 second run. My 60's are in the 2.5 second range. I KNOW that would improve SIGNIFICANTLY.
