Selling The Cobra For A Mach?

Ok fellas, I need some oppinions on this trade in. The dealer is willing to give me 8k for my car. Thats a couple of grand lower then what i would ask but its not bad for a trade in. The dealer wants 15k for a Orange Mach1. Its bone stock with 63k on the odometer. The paint has its normal chips on the hood and bumber but other than that the car is prestine. I personaly think they should come down to about 12k for the car but i dont know what they go for on average. The kicker to the story is im about to get out of the military and go to school at UTI full time so its not ideal timing but i want this car. Thoughts and oppinions please.

I paid 11,500 for my Mach 1 03 with 96K on her completely stock, and then turned around and had them do the TSB on the tranny and they had to do put a new head on the driver side. The dealer put almost 8K worth of work into it thanks to their warrenty

but thats a rare case, what happened to me. BUt I would say 12-13 for a mint Mach 1 is a good price if its dealer. I like doing dealer (Now) cause if I didnt I would have to of forked out for the tranny rebuild and the recalled head out pocket...

Have someone else go in there and talk the price down, then go in there and ask for it at that price. They are probably not budging on the price of the mach due to how much they are giving for a trade in. I wouldnt quit so easily on the mach.

The orange machs are one of my favorite mustangs out there but with your situation with school n what not i would say just keep the cobra for now its still a sweet car and its a cobra so its not like its losing value

the cobra is sweet but orange mach 1s are sick. thats a great price on the mach 1 jump on it.

looks like im going to be hanging on to the cobra. The wife says its a no go, she said if i wait another year i can get a Termi and i cant argue with that.

8k for a 96-98 is pretty goood, especially on a trade in. The Mach 1 is quicker, has better driveability and far more n/a power potential; when comparing the two the Mach comes out far ahead. However, do want a payment at this time?

If you arent getting the mach, you could go half way and throw C heads on the cobra.

just keep the 97...I'm also aquiring a 97 within the next week. Build it up, I'll build mine then beat you (finally) then you can get the termi lol. I say keep it man.

Over priced man. I just had a shot at an 04 azure blue with 68k miles for 10k and a oxford white with 80k for 11k. That car is way over priced man. Theres a competition orange with 77k miles for 10,500 on svtp as well. I say put your car up for sale privately and look for a better deal.
