License Plate Bracket

My 95 Mustang 4v swap is coming back from paint this month and im putting a cobra front bumper on it. In Iowa we are required to have a plate on the front of the car but i don't want to drill into the new paint. I have a cobra license plate bracket which doesn't look too bad but in my opinion running no plate on the front looks better when at a car show. I've seen the fold down kits that American muscle sells, they are a great idea but don't seem to fit the mustangs too well. I don't want to mount anything below the bumper either since the car is getting lowered and will probably get ripped off on a driveway. Have anyone seen or made a custom bracket that can be mounted to the core support and removable? Or does anyone have a better idea?

i have just accepted the fact of risking a ticket. My idea besides drilling into the bumber is make a bracket that you could bolt to the bottom of the core support, run it underneath the bumber and bolt your plate on to the bracket.

I have a bracket, but haven't used it yet. I am running no plate. But try craigsbracket.com I think that's the site but don't know if they are just S197 or not

Thats what i figured i would end up doing, use wing nuts with locking washers. the hard part is going to be making the bracket not stand out too much and make it look fine. Also will have to be strong enough to not bend much when going down the highway. could always just put some rubber backing on it to keep from damaging the front bumper

Thats what I was talking about earlier, it seams like it doesnt fit the mustangs to well, and i dont want anything that sits below the bumper since it will probably get damaged or ripped off on a driveway. im thinking ill make my own bracket like the ones on craigsbracket.com since they dont make one for the sn95's.

If they require a front license plate, then by all means, put one on the front... behind the bumper.

shoot it looks stupid but may as well get a bracket from ford. I just keep mine in my back seat so when they ask about it i tell them "the autozone bracket wont fit and Ford has them on back order" They just tell me to get it taken care of...

The license plate bracket is the one which holds the your license plate right? Just drive with out the plate. You still have your plate at the rear right?
