Figured out why I got my cobra cheap

So after Ive had my car about a month and a half now ive noticed excessive oil consumption, blue smoke when i put it under a load and I can smell the blow by. Then on top of that im having issues with the transmission. So I wont be using my eaton setup on top of the weak motor. Might have to part out my eaton swap parts

Idk thougt it was just valve stem seals at first because it would smoke bad on startup, but now I changed the oil and its bad just driving around it stinks like burnt oil. The previous owner must have dumped some lucas in it. Im really not happy I love the car and have been wanting a cobra for along time but now im gonna have to pay it down and get rid of it.

Im gonna do a compression test on it in the morning and see what I find, the motor was a ford reman put in 2005 and has less than 30k miles on it so maybe I have another issue im not seeing. I replaced the pcv valve the line was soaked in oil but it continues to burn it. Anyone had issues with the pcv system on these?

Yeah, but there is a lot of people out there that don't understand the concept of breaking in an engine.

So enlighten me again... Why did you get rid of the GTO for 99 Cobra (apparently a pile of crap) that you have now?

Yup lol ive had 2 2006 gtos with the 6.0, both had salvage titles I bought them wrecked fixed them and resold them. I did a compression test and didnt expect to see almost 200 psi out of every cylinder but one, cylinder 4 was the lowest at 170 psi. I checked every cylinder twice at 6 compression strokes and they were all within 5% except number 4. Dont think its low enough to be causing the consumption problems . My theory is that I might have a bad injector on that cylinder thats washing it out because I lost my mileage and it smells really rich when I start it along with a sputter in the exhaust. Think im going to strap the blower on with the new 39# injectors and hope for the best, what could possibly go wrong right

No, 1964-1974 is a goat...2004-2006 are oversized foreign looking thongs with a Corvette heart and balls.

Corvette motor, 6 speed, almost 30mpg and a 13 sec flat 1/4 mile almost completely stock made it good enough for me. Only reason I got rid of them is because they were salvage cars I bought to make money off of. Other than that they are great cars, looking to buy another as a dd after graduation and keep the cobra to beat on it at the track.
