Code P1519??

So I hooked up my diagnostic tool on my car today and it pulled up P1519. It says intake manifold runner stuck closed ( bank 1 ). I was wondering if I could get some input on this and how it affects the performance of my car. I've only had the car a couple of months and no check engine light has come on. So I'm assuming its had this problem since I've bought it.

imrc's stuck. you can toggle it from behind the block, each side has a throttle like cable running to it. that really wont fix it but it should temp help open and close it.

do a google search on IMRC cleaning, basically take off the upper and lower intake and clean away. you can seafoam it but if youre throwing a code id say you are beyond that.

So the runners are actually in the intake? It says the one is stuck closed, took the car out today and it pulls good through the rpms.I would think if the one is closed, it wouldn't pull in the higher rpms. Right?

Figured I would post a link on how to clean IMRC, so if anyone else runs across this problem.

Thanks! I don't think I'm going to bother with the seafoam since I have 88k on the car. Good time just to take it all off and give it a good cleaning, maybe do a little painting on intake and TB while I'm at it.

Does anyone recommend doing the IMRC delete?

i did it just because i went with a supercharger and didnt want to hinder my airflow or want then stuck when i was throwing a ton of air at it. my understand is it will help top end but make the low end a little more sluggish and require a tune to help make up for that sluggishness

That's what I read, you have to increase your timing to make up for the loss in the low RPM's. I think I'll hold off on doing the delete. What about porting and polishing the intake?

After all i've read i'm still kinda undecided whether or not to do the delete. I just want to know how my car will act cruising around at low rpm. Need some people to chime in that have done it. My engine is stock and I don't plan on putting a blower on it anytime soon.

Decided to keep the runners in. This how it turned out after cleaning.
