Hey everyone. I did a search, but couldn't find an answer to my question, so if it's out there and I just missed it, I'm sorry. Anyway, I'm planning on doing a 4v swap in my 98 GT and I have an engine that I'm looking at that's out of a 98 cobra. It's a complete setup with the engine, trans, ECU, and wiring harness. My question is, one of my friends told me that the 98 cobra used a different fuel system. He said it has a return system, but it's a variable speed pump. Is this true? And if so, what all would I need to make it work? (pump, lines, tank?) And would it be better/easier to go with a 96 or 97 engine?

The 98 does use a return system. Not sure on the pump, i have a tank from a 95 cobra in mine, and i use a 255lph Walbro Pump. I could probably get you a diagram if you need cant find one, or you could call up the stealership to have them print you one.
