Have a chance to get a 96 cobra longblock for 300 bucks. Was wondering if the front dress accesories and other small parts would work with an 04 mach 1 timing cover? I'd keep the block, put my forged internals in it,sell my WAP block and get some C heads since I plan to use the sullivan intake for my build.

So although I plan to use 99 or newer c heads, I can use the 96 timing cover and 96 idlers pulleys?

You can use any timing cover with any heads.

I recommend you don't use a Sullivan intake unless you plan on spinning the engine to at least 7500rpm. On a sub 7000rpm engine with a centri, a stock ported intake will provide more tq and mid range hp while making the same amount of peak power. The Sullivans are pretty but perform terribly on street driven combos.

Either way buy that longblock. The crank and cams are worth $300

Thanks na, that saved me from making another thread bc I was gonna ask if the sullivan would actually be worth it. Im just gonna stick with a 99/01 cobra intake and save myself 700 bucks.
