what would you offer?
Found a cobra in CT that has a knock in the motor. I want just the motor but I'm not too sure what to offer. Any suggestions?

If it's just got a knock in the motor, i would not be one bit surprised if the owner wants to only knock off a few hundred to $1000 from what they would expect otherwise. That being said, offer have of kbb and start there?

if all you are wanting is a 4v motor to build, try looking for an 04/05 aviator motor.

Are you inferring that it's a ROD knock? If it is, you could luck out and it's only spun a bearing, or Murphy and is law could jump in and you could end up with a trashed cylinder, head(s), or even block. When making an offer on this type of stuff, I always figure in worse-case scenario. And if the motor is the only thing you want outta the thing, you could be taking a pretty big risk.
