How far can the 03 cobra heads be milled?

I have a set of 03 heads with some detonation scaring around where the fire ring of the headgasket sits, everything else is fine no guidewear or anything just wondering how far they can be milled, the machine shop i usually go to says they cant be milled but i have heard different.

I have read that you have problems getting the timing cover to fit after .030

Still have my termi block might slowly build a stroker out of it, always have the itch to build something.

Got everything to make the intercooler work now except the adapter for the intake which is really hard to find, figured out an ev1 injector wire works about perfect for the pump harness just had to do a little trimming.
