99-01 heads


What would I need to drop 99/01 dohc on my 97 cobra?

Are you talking about the entire engine or the heads?

ive never done that swap but im think you will need everything from the heads up, it would probably just be cheaper to have your heads ported and polished cuz you wont see huge gains

Also, you will need the 99/01/mach intake manifold. A benefit of running the 99 01 heads is that you can actually fit an intercooler core for a PD blower. Is that why you are wanting to swap?

I didnt know that, everyone i talked to basically told me that it wont really worth it, im guessing around 30 rwhp gains too right?

If you do end up doing the head swap, I would definitely keep your 97 Cobra cams, and use them with the C heads. They are slightly more aggressive than what you get with the 99/01 Cobras...

Keeping my cams, save some money and they are the best cobra cams anyways right?

It'll be nice to have intercooled 2.1
So that's what I'm leaning to most right now.

Yeah the 96-98 cams are the most aggressive in a production Cobra.
