cant get spring to sit right!

ok so hears the deal, a few months ago i installed H&R race springs in my cobra. i couldent get the spring on the drivers side to sit right and the passenger one went right in without a problem. i went to maximums website and they said to line the end of both coils to the little bracket for the ebrake on the control arm. did that. passengers side went in great, drivers side still doesent sit right, if i rotate the spring i can get it to sit better but then it wont be in the same spot as the other side, im really not sure what to do here. it sits about 1/4" or so higher maybe even half an inch on the drivers side. my question is has anyone had this problem before and do the springs have to be in the same spot on the control arm on both sides? i REALLY dont feel like working to adjust it AGAIN and come up with the same results, anything is appreciated

Thanks

to easy broski, jack the car up high enough to fit jack stands under the subframe connectors (at least 2-3 notch's on the stands). grab a friend and undo the rear irs subframe bolts and shocks. place jack under irs and lower it until there is no tension on the springs. have your friend align the spring on one side of the car while you align the other. hold the springs in place and reach for the jack. jack the irs back into place. and yes, align the end coil of the springs at the e-brake bracket on both sides.

...and make sure the top of the springs are flush with the chassis and not hung up on the fenderwell, and check if one is upside down, just in case.
