Probably a torx bit, local part source or autozone. Mind you i dont know 100% mine was missing when i bought it, i need to get one though! I'd leave yours on, i want a pony back on the front of mine.

I drilled a hole in the center of a torx T25 driver and it worked for me.

The front horse is held on with security screws, intended to keep the casual thief from being able to remove it easily. You need a set of security bits to remove them. Harbor Freight carries them, 33 Piece Security Bit Set. I'm sure you could probably get the same thing at any auto parts store.

If you are going to black it out, just remove it. No one is going to see a black pony against a black radiator from more than a few feet away. Then you could still use the chrome pony as a nice desk decoration.

You can also use a small screw driver to take of torx security bits, so you don't have to by a separate tool just for this.

Lemme find a guide.

Insert the screwdriver like so....

I was gonna remove it and paint it matte black like the hood pattern. I figured to those who see it will appriciate and others just wont see it at all. Kind d of like a mindfuck

I think it does not stand out as much now. I just wanted to hide it a little
