Lean Codes?

My O2 sensors fell, and either got wet or got caught on something. Anyway, i cant keep my car running, and it is throwing lean codes. Dont have the codes off of the top of my head, but could hook the SCT back up to pull them again.

Any tips before i start replacing O2 sensors at $63 a pop?

connections look fine, and i dont see anything loose.

There's a way to check O2 sensors. You need a blowtorch and DVM.

Hook up the DVM to the O2 sensor circuit, not the heater, read voltage on the 2V setting.

In open air (completely lean) it should read 0.0-0.1V
Completely immerse the sensors in the flame. All the oxygen is consumed in that flame, so it's completely rich. This should read 0.9-1.0V. It should respond relatively quickly, within a second or so.

Of course there's a gray area here, but if they're completely toast, you'll know. It's not a perfect test, but cheaper than $63.

Checking continuity from the base of the sensor to the connector doesn't hurt either.

P0171 and P0174? Have you checked fuel pressure?
