99 cobra alternator ?

i need to know if the 99 cobra use the same alternator as the gt soo i can order this

Not by what Ive read...

GT = 105 amps

Cobra (99-01 and machs) = 130 amps

But I have heard of people going to a cobra alternator on a GT.

It will mount, but connector is different and the GT has 3 wires and the Cobra has 2.

On a side note.

GTs and Cobras use the same 2 wire plug...the year is what seperates them. 96-98 use 3, 99-04 use 2.

But the Cobra Alt is thinner, like the Bullitt uses, to clear the intake. You can use a Cobra Alt on the GT, but I don't see why.

Is that true? I know for the Eaton swap you have to swap connectors for some reason. Might just be 03/04 Cobra specific though.

^ Correct. 03.04 is specific, not to mention you have to extend the shit out of your harness to be down by the PS pump.

I wouldn't say it if it wasn't what I already knew. I have done multiple 2v to 4v swaps..96-04...and this is what I have seen.
