They got the rest of the car so perfect you would think they would spend a little extra time and money to get this right. Are the keith black pistons any good? Im taking the block and heads to the machine shop monday to see what ive got, from there im going to decide if i want to do a stock rebuild except with a little better piston and run the new on3 kit or maybe go with a stroker kit and run the eaton for a little while till i can afford something more on top of that.

dont spend your money on a stroker. the stock bore to stroke of a 4.6 is almost square which is what you want. as for what pistons its always who prefers what over what but the important thing is to get the bore correct on your block. blower specific prep is extreamly important. the flaw in the stock 03-04 motors is the high sylicone content of the pistion but that is just bad with heat the big thing that wrecks pistons in a blower setup is the piston not being able to swell in the socket. my old motor ran a piston to wall gap of .003 which is noisy on cold starts but once the pistons expanded it would quiet down.

Alright sounds good to me, can get the keith blacks for around 450 for the set so dont know the quality behind them but they almost have to be better than the zolners right?

How much would you want for the complete eaton kit? also nice pick up.. and keep the updates coming!

and some black GT500's or fr500s would look nice with the grey.. or just Chrome SVT Wheels would look just badass..

Block and crank are at the machine shop, still unsure what im gonna do about the heads for sure dont have the money to get them done yet. Might try and sell my eclipse to fund this project lol.

Purdy sure my car is mineral grey, i pulled one of my side scoops off cause one of the clipse was broke and it said mineral on a sticker inside
