Shift points?

Im gonna be headed to the track next month with my 04 Mach. Just curious what kinda RPM you guys are launching at, and what RPM you shift at. I was thinking about 67 or 6800?

Also, what should I expect to run for time approximately?

Only mods are an O/R X pipe, bama tune, M/T ET street radials, and K&N filter

The only way to find out what the best run to launch at is try launching at different rpm. Before my motor work I would shift around 5850, if I remember correctly.

Depending on how good you can drive I would expect 13.0's-12.7's with good driver.

My friends mach with exhaust and lowering springs was trapping 106 at low 13's. I think he was launching low because he couldn't catch traction, he was shifting at 6300 I believe.

Find it very hard to believe a near stock mach would ever break into the 12s, mid to low l13s at very best.

It all depends on how well he can hook with those tires.

With stock gears, you will probably have your best results shifting:

1-2 @ 6700
2-3@6500
3-4@6300

If that were my car, and the weather was decent....I would expect around a 13.0....give or take a tenth or two.

Too many variables. I powershift no matter what car I am in, no matter what....when going down the track. That alone can be worth a tenth or two. The DA and your sixty foot will be the biggest factors for you.

Not knowing anything about you or your car, I will guess and say 13.19@106.45

Update:

On a windy day i managed to get a 12.9 @ 107 mph, 1.8 60 ft. Im pretty confident I can squeeze another tenth out of it for sure on a nicer day.

You have an 01 Cobra and you can only pull off a 13.9 with a "good" driver or am I missing something?
