How can i tell what kind of clutch is in my 03 Mach 1?

I got my Mach 1 a week ago and am just curious if there is an easy way to tell if and what kind of aftermarket clutch i have. I dont know a lot about 5 speeds but everyone who has felt the clutch in my car said it is stiffer than most, including other mustang owners. So is there an easy way to check and see?

It's going to be hard to tell with absolute specificity what it is but you may be able to get an idea at least on the manufacturer. You can put the car up on jackstands or ramps, then take the clutch fork cover off and you can shine a light up in there and see the pressure plate. You may be able to see some markings or a part number that may tell you something. If the pressure plate is blue, there's a good chance it's a Spec brand. Red is probably a RAM, orange is probably a CenterForce. Additionally, on a CenterForce, you would probably also be able to see the weights they put on the plate fingers. Most store-brand and/or Valeo brand plates will be a gray color.

I believe the clutches were different in machs then gts. So its prob factory if the car is all stock with low miles.

When I first got my '04, my dad said the same thing about my clutch.

It's most likely stock. I wouldn't get my hopes up. Sorry.
