Back in a Ford


Finally back in a Mustang! I missed my 02 GT so much and hated all the electrical problems caused by my vette for 2+ years, I traded the chevy for an '03 Cobra with only 28k miles on the clock. I'm so glad to be back in a Mustang. The Cobra has LT's, off-road x-pipe, and bassani exhaust (which sounds kinda crappy imo), short shifter, intake, and a smaller pulley from what I can tell so far. It also has an on-the-fly tuner switch with a stock, middle of the road and highly aggressive tune. it also appears to have new fuel injectors as well. I'm not sure at all what the numbers are, but the dealer said the one owner claimed it has a 2.6 upper pulley and 500hp at the wheels. That remains to be seen, as i'm very skeptical. I'm just glad to have a very nice mustang again with low miles and tasteful mods so far.

now i am searching for the right path to avoid wheel hop. any help is appreciated. I'm debating between the Maximum motorsports stuff, steeda and a few others...

I'm not sure if a 2.6 pulley will fit on the stock snout. I thought a 2.76 was the smallest but I could be wrong. Either way with a good tune you should be over 450 rwhp. Maybe not 500, but definitely respectable.

Both the cars look great, but if you were having problems with the Vette you'll be happy with a Cobra!
