bassani o/r x pipe

hey guys im buying my x pipe right now from this guy from craigslist for $125 and wanted to know if i should keep my stock mufflers on or just take them off until i have money saved for my catback which will probably be in a month?

Also if thats a good price for a used bassani x pipe and will i see any power gains from taking my stock catted h pipe out for the bassani o/r x pipe thanks for the help and reps

The gains more than likely wont be noticeable, i would leave the mufflers on for now uncatted and straight pipes get annoying very fast. You might trip the check engine light for catalyst effeciency since you will no longer have converters. I had a bassani o/r x on my cobra x pipe is the only way to go in my book amazing sound.

so you think that when i take out the stock h pipe and put the bassani off road x pipe will it make it louder at all even with the stock mufflers on still

It will get louder because the cats are no longer there, the performance gain wont be noticable it will definetly get a little louder and alot different tone.

Yea I left the stock catback on, it has a wayy different tone now and is a little louder, I am happy with the outcome.. Now I'm just saving up for the slp catback

Personally I like the stock catback, because it is quiet. Almost keeps the car sleeperish..
