Hows this look?

Picking up a 98 cobra motor here in the next few weeks. The block and heads are already machined and it comes with pretty much everything to be ready to be dropped right in. Granted I wont be doing that right away b/c I'm gonna wait til I have a forged bottom end for it. Everything looks nice in the pics but I figured I'd get some other opinions.

Yup. The first one is a '93-96 Mark 8 intake, and the latter is a '97-98 Mark 8 intake. What did you want opinions on?

Yea, they are now that I've looked at different pics on google. Just wanting some second opinions on how everything looks, mainly the block and heads. They look good to me but wanted to see what anyone else thinks.

In that case, the pictures are way too small to really see anything. I mean it's obviously a TEKSID block and "B" heads, but that's about all I can see from the pics.

I would just go buy a set of ported heads from Fox Lake, and an intake from either Roy's Custom Intakes, or a Sullivan intake.

What are the part numbers on the intake cams? How many bolt holes are on the end of the crank, 6 or 8?

My suggestion if you want to go 4v would be to pick up some C heads. The Bs make terrible low/mid range power and tq and their peak power is worse than the Cs.

B heads don't need to be ported (their ports are already too large) and both Sullivan and Roy do not make B-head intakes; Roy ports C intakes and the Sullivan is made for C heads (if the Roy you're talking about lives in near Port Huron, Mi).

Also, the Sullivan is a terrible intake for the street; poor torque and mid range power.

A Sullivan intake is only good for engines with a shift point of 7500rpm or higher.

Ditch the intake manifolds. Looks like you bought a mark 8 motor tho not a cobra motor.
