Sooooo i test drove this... have a few questions

first its an 04 cobra vert with just barely over 6000 miles. they are askin 27000 for it but i know the manager of sales and he said he can sell it to me for 22000. its got and upgraded whipple at 15 psi. so my questions are. is 22000 a good deal? and what do you guys think the car is making power wise?

looks clean and nice, with 27000 miles i would say 19000-20000 would be a good deal, unless it is 22000 out the door than i would say its a great deal.

I'd say that is a good deal, but I would try and get them to come down to $20K out the door. If they were willing to come down that far from $27,000 they must have a lot of wriggle room on the car. Make sure you check the carfax out as well.

oops yeah 6000 miles 22000 is a pretty good deal. that car is almost new. of course try and get it cheaper, but i would not cry about paying 22000 for it.

yeah the carfax is clean. this thing is nuts though. i know its cause im use to my v6 but this thing will spin the tires, not just chirp them, flat out spin them in 3rd gear. how much power do u guys think its putting down

i'd jump on it if i were you. if i remember correctly, i think there were only 69 2004 cobra verts in competition orange. the rarest combination of all terminators.

edit: i just checked. there were 72 built. not sure why i had 69 on my mind

that car is literally brand new, around tampa that would be selling for way more, they have termi's with 50k + miles going for 19k!

15# out of a 2.3 gen1 or 2 should be mid 500's. You break into the 600's around 18#

22k isnt bad with that miles and mods!!! Id take it. Only thing for me though is im not a huge fan of the verts. But clean none the less. Id say power wise depending on the tune typically around 550-600 on whipple setups. Id pick it up and get a custom dyno tune first thing. Itd be a shame to buy it and pop the engine a week later because it had a shitty tune. Also I might consider having ur buddies shop have the car compression tested. Dont see many guys trading in whippled Termis to dealerships. Most dealerships never compression test engines. Just my 2 cense

If you dont buy it, you are incredibly high. 22k with only 6k miles is incredible, especially for a stealership. Around me, the cheapest ive seen them go is like 16k but theyre high mileage and most likely have the piss beat out of them.

If the carfax is clean, as you say, you had better put down a deposit NOW!
A 6K mile CO will not last long at that price.
