exhaust help

hey guys well im going to be buying my mufflers this week, so i wanted to know what you guys think between the 2 ive decided to choose from.

flow master 44's, or slp lm2's, ive decided to not buy a catback to save money so im just going to exchange my mufflers and buy new tips, but anyways what would you guys choose from the 2 and why? Im pretty set on the flows just because the sound is deeper and cleaner reps for any input of course.

Both are terrible. Flows flow terrible sound Decent. Loudmouths in my opinion and experience with them sound horrific. Id go with borla muffs or set of bassani. Maybe magnaflows, 4vs sound nice with straight through muffler types.

Cut the mufflers out and weld a straight pipe in

I have flowmaster 44's. Unless its at idle or wide open throttle, it sounds like shit.

Throw some magnapacks or stingers on it

The LM2's are certainly better than the LM1's, but I'm not a fan of them.
Personally I like the Flowmaster's, though I think my tastes are more in the 40 series than 44's. I've got a set of what I had been told are 40's and I like them. They're a nice balance of loud/mean and clean/refined.

Here's a flowmaster catback with catted X on a Cobra:

Moddedstang 17 – Thanks for considering Flowmaster mufflers for your Mustang. Flowmaster mufflers go together with Mustangs like they were made for each other. They sound great and flow very well. The configuration of the internal chambers actually manipulate the exhaust pulses coming from the engine. Their design increases velocity to get the spent gases out of the muffler faster so you can make more power. There’s a lot of science that goes into our mufflers. That’s why so many racers use them. They use them for the power and love them for the sound.

WickedSnake00 – We’re glad you like your Flowmaster mufflers. Thanks for posting your video. It made us cold just watching it.

Ha, I wish that was mine. I will gladly post up a video when I drop in my new 03 Cobra motor with longtubes and O/R H though. How are you guys for sponsorships?

Also I will admit they've got me rethinking using glass-packs on my 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass. It might get some 40 or 44 series instead.

I like my LM2's, but I have an O/R H pipe with them to make it sound a bit more... deep.
