I'm curious as to why you think "it wants to" rev higher. If the computer is keeping it from reving higher than 7k what do you believe is causing the power to go flat at 5500?

I can't believe you threw n20 at it before getting the tune worked out.

the car is acting like there is a rev limiter at 6950, and its set at 7200. the tune is done, kinda wish i would of taken it somewhere else to have done. car runs fine, the flat line issue was taken care of.

Some Mach computers don't like to allow the engine to rev. Supposedly Diablo has a cure for this, unsure about SCT or the others.

Where did the peak power end up?

Been there done this. My GT didn't like anything above 6900-7000ish...and if you kept your foot in it, it would break up and if you stayed in it past that, the ECu would shut down. This is why I went MOD 6 and carb.

Anyway...we also tested a short Mach intake, and it did exactly as you are describing, the stock untouched intake actually pulled better and had more power and TQ...

I think you have having a problem with both. Put a stocker back on it...check your power/tq, then address the ECU issue if its still there.

after all the crap that i was going thru between driving 3hrs one way to the dyno, work, and other stuff i have going on at the shop; i just wait to go back with the car and ported stock for later date. i'm not worried about power #'s n/a since a procharger set up will be here before long.

when it was having flat line issues, it was only getting like 315hp or something like that and nothing more. now it runs hard and levels off, but doesnt drop power. i have seen this once, and the guy that was doing the tuning has een it before. luckily those issues were addressed with crank sensor replacement.

Hopefully so, because a good running FI combo begins with a good running, efficient n/a engine.

believe so. it still has issue with open loop to closed loop transition and dies once in a while, but good other than that.
