Window problem!!!!!
Hi, I have a 1997 Cobra and I have a confusing problem
My window will not go down I changed out the motor the fuse the button and I tested all the wiring! I am getting current from the bottom all the way to the relay back to the motor and still nothing will move. It makes absolutely no sence to me! I have tried everything I can think of I took wire and connected it to my batter and tried to run a straight connection to the motor and still not even a budge. I am all out of ideas someone please help me!!! Thanks for your help and reading.

When you press the button, do you hear the window motor running/whining or anything?

Will the window go up or down when you have the motor taken out. Also check the grounding.

There is no noice coming from the motor but every once in a noice from the relay that's about it
And to answer the other question, No the motor does not move out the door at all

I had the same problem a while back with my old mustang, some aftermarket window motors are a little thicker than that stock window motor, and i when i tighten up the bolts on the new aftermarket window motor it some how bound it up. So i unfortunately had to loosen the bolts up a bit to let the motor run freely without binding. So you might want to give that a look at

If I'm not mistaken, the motors are side-specific. Did you actually install the new motor into the passenger door or did you just hook it up to the wiring with the motor loose?
