o/r x pipe to o/r h pipe??

Hey guys i know x pipe is more raspy and h pipe is more deeper tone, so my question is, the difference really like night and day? I want to trade my bassani o/r x pipe for an o/r h pipe to go better with my flow 40's

The difference IS night and day, and sound wise is personal preference. I think 4v motors sound much better with an X pipe. But if you want to sell your X pipe, let me know!

lol i cant sell it until i somehow get an h pipe, im trying to put it up for trade locally in my area on my other mustang forum but if i end up buying one youll be the first i hit up

i have a o/r h on my cobra and it sucks with my flow paths, i just got in a upr o/r x pipe and am probably going to find someone local who will take the h pipe off my hands though

Its a summit brand h pipe. Honestly it fits great with no leaks, just sounds off key for my taste

I have had both x and h and it is amazing how much sound difference there is. The consensus seems to be
- chambered muffs = h
- straight thru muffs = x

Yea I dont think ill beat you to it, thats not my top priority mod right now. I'm just focused on cutting my springs and then my short shifter, that's a like "if it happens it happens mod" lol

I have Mrt's o/r H-pipe along with Borla Stingers and the sound is sex. I took it to the track the other day and i lost count how many people came up asking me what i had done and what exhaust i had, i wouldnt change a thing about it. Im even hesitant about getting headers because the sound is so perfect. At least to me it is.

Its all personal preference. I just swapped out my o/r h for a o/r x and mixed with flowpaths its way better. H pipe sounds good with flows which I originally had but flowpaths are louder but with a h pipe it sounded like a truck

I just swapped my H pipe for a SLP catted X pipe. I have flows and the volume went way down on the car. No drone anymore either. The H pipe was catted as well. What do you guys think would be better with that X pipe SLP LM1 or 2 or magnapacks?
