full tilt boogie racing makes a great delrin bushing kit. this will accualy save you in the long run. 99-01 cobras have a weaker irs than the 03-04 cobras so they tend to break during wheel hop

^ correct.

Wheep hop does come from the stock bushings being rubber and crap. But even after I completely redid everything in my IRS, I still would get it at times on certain roads.

Tires and Track/Road is what plays in wheel hop more than bushings and tie rods and axles and what not.

Heres what I suggest being down this road more than once.

First things first...you get wheel hop. GET OUT OF IT! Don't continue in the gas till it goes away. This is how you WILL break an axle. Been there.

Second/First mod, IRS brace. This is a must. Period
Next, Poly IRS diff bushings
Subframe connectors (id tell you to get this even on a SRA car)

Last...get a different set of tires. My BFGs, didn't hop as much as my Nittos, and way less than my Cheapo-tomos (sumitomos)

Do that, and I bet 90+% of your axle woes will be gone.

Biggest thing...tires. Tires...

Kkkkk first lower the car so the axles of the IRS look parallel to the floor. And make sure to use stiff springs when lowering the car.. and get some solid differential bushings to eliminate the bump you get when you put it into first and during shifting... Also you might want to get adjustible swaybar endlinks due to lowering the car.. And get some good tires nt555 work well

Endlinks are not needed
Lowering the car isn't the problem. Changing to a stiffer spring rate MIGHT help, but springs aren't the problem

Tires.

Neverenough nailed it.

#1-if you experiance wheel hop then get out or youre going to be replacing half shafts.

#2-a tire with a softer sidewall will make a world of difference. Just about any drag radial is going to be better for you then a 'standard street tire'
