1999–2004 Lincoln Navigator, 4-valve DOHC, 300 hp
Hello all, I have a 2001 GT with a 4.6 2v and I have Comp ll cams 550/270 , 24lb injectors, Double platinum spark, BBK 78mm TB, BBK CAI, X pipe, and Magnaflow, TR 3650, Putting a even 300hp to the wheels.
and have done all the work myself, all but the tune that is. But want more, a lot more. I am thinking of stuffing in a 32v 5.4 and SC it. Can I get this done ? And I also will get the computer and wire harness for the 5.4 . Getting it for $1800. Will it bolt up to the 3650 ? Yes I know it ain't going to be an over night drop in. And think I will have to change out the K member , rework my hood , bigger gas pump, and so on. But with that all said and done, will it work? Will my speedo work? My Track Control, And what am I over looking ? Ain't that what the snake has in it ? A 5.4 32v blown ? This is my first Mustang and its been like 25 years since I've monkeyed with cars. What I would give for a carb and distributer. But any how, I`ll set back now and let you all hit me.. .......

You are thinking too much. lol. Its not that bad of a swap. just remember...5.4 requires adapter plates to run a mustang type 32v intake, unless you get a Cobra R intake or run a GT 500 blower.
Past that it is pretty much plug and play, minus the fab work for getting the exhaust to work. Read this. Should answer most of your questions. Modular Revolution Forums

probably be better off getting an 04/05 aviator motor. They are almost a direct replacement (just a few minor things) and one would weigh a chunk less. If you are going to supercharge it anyway there is almost no point in picking the navi motor over that. Both are going to be limited to about the same HP, and unfortunately thats nothing over what your current bottom end will hold out to. Honestly you are probably better off throwing forged rods/pistons in your motor and boosting your 2v 4.6.
