03 Cobra Twin Turbo/ Auto build

This winter I will be doing a lot of work on my own car aside from the work I'll be doing for CodyCat91. Before I get slammed by everyone for "destroying" my car like I have on other forums and venues, a little back info. The car has 108k miles, and last year on July 3rd last yr, the car was parked on the street and some drunk idiot hit it quite hard doing about 6g in damage, including messing up the uni body so that it had to be straightened. Although the car wasn't totaled, its value has dropped sharply. Since then I have decide to make a car that would be designed almost completely for a road course. The car is in the process of being stripped down, I have all of the interior out, and most of the suspension off, and the A/C, heater core, and all of the sound system parts removed. It was a little over 3700 pounds when I purchased the car, and it currently weighs just over 3000 pounds. The goal is to have the vehicle weigh 3100 pounds while still having the factory iron block till I can afford to build a new engine utilizing a Teksid aluminum block. I also plan on using a On3 Performance forward facing single turbo kit with a precision 67mm turbo and a QA1 front suspension, and Maximum motorsports rear lower extreme duty control arms, UPR uppers, and a MM pan hard bar (this is temporary do to money constraints, eventually id like to run a Maximum motorsports front suspension and buy a torque arm to eliminate the uppers). Although i know this will cost more money in the end, I cant afford to go all out right away sadly. I am also building my own aluminum inner door panels and an aluminum dash. This should be a very challenging and time consuming project but i hope to see it actually be finished by May hopefully before graduation.

...the fuck is with new edge Cobra builds coming out of WNY?

Where in Lancaster are you from? I'm originally from Alden, I've got my Cutlass tucked away in Lancaster, and I bought my stang off a guy over by St. Mary's.

Don't tell me you're the guy with the gorgeous sonic blue one I kept seeing in the village.

...oh, and what about compound boost?

Well I'll be damned. I used to see it all the time when I'd be working on my Cutlass not too far from Aurora and Como. I would literally stop what I was doing just to watch it go by. That was one awesome car, shame to hear what happened to it.

I am definitely coming to see it when I'm back for winter break.

...and if you're ditching some of those nice interior pieces...

I am currently still stripping the car still and prepping it for the cage. all that will be left of the factory interior will be a gutted stock dash board and the a-pillars.

also to edit on my build plan stated earlier, i called On3 today, with the 4v forward facing kit, you have to use UPR so, thats what i am going with for K-member, which im happier about anyways since QA1 is only mild steel and UPR is at least moly, even though to be honest id rather have Maximum motorsports

This was the cars weight after the solid axle swap and the radio and rear amp/speaker removal, but before all the weight reduction. Notice 2/3 of the weight is on the nose which would definitely attribute to poor handling and poor launches.... ill rescale the car after all is said and done, but on a positive note, look and how the cross weight is pretty damn close to 50/50....

So I removed the entire wiring harness from the car to go through it, I am relocating the fuse box, battery, and basically everything that can be moved; to the trunk. it will be a tough job, and take a while, but it will be worth it in the end because once its washed, the engine bay will look insanely clean. i just have to find a diagram or some sort of book that shows what a few of the modules do so i can eliminate the unnecessary things. I really hope I haven't bitten off more than i can chew, but if i get it done and it runs properly, ill be happy!
