Normal at idle. Hot while driving.

Just replaced the radiator with a Mishimoto aluminum radiator. Hooked all the hoses up. Added coolant. Idled to operating temperature with cap off. Drove car and started to eventually heat up. Came back. Took cap off (Still warm). Idling at normal with cap off.

Maybe I didn't let all of the air in the system have a chance to escape?

Im thinking you probably need a higher psi rated cap, common for mishimotos, more pressure might do it

I don't know what you mean by that...

Radiator is hot on one side and come on the other. Top radiator hose is hot and the one leading up the center between the block and radiator is cool. Neither of the hoses leading to the heater core are flowing.

After it got hot, it sounds like a diesel at first crank sounding very harsh. I can herat the passenger side head tick/chain slap a lot now.

It's not normal to feel this depressed because of a car...

So I just let it idle to operating temperature again. Nothing on the radiator or hoses got hot and once again nothing was coming out of my heater core hoses.

I don't think it's the thermostat because after I out the new one in (Two Fridays ago) I ran the piss out of it over the weekend. Then on Monday I got the puncture in the radiator. I'm pretty much at the "Fuck it" stage right now and am just going to order an Edelbrock High Flow coolant pump and new thermostat.

Can I run my car without a thermostat? Just to see if I can get a constant flow to see if I can even get my radiator and hoses to heat up. If that's the case, then I know it's the thermostat. The pump is being replaced regardless.

When it showed on the gauge that it was at operating temperature, I would turn it off and then when I would turn it on, the front of the drivers side head sounded like shit at start up. And you could hear excessive chain slap from the passenger side (Which I'm surprised it lasted this long without). If my gauges and sensors for temperature are bad and my engine is really hotter than its telling me, would overheating cause these problems? Also, yesterday, when it was hot and make the horrible start up noise, it would idle like a son of a bitch (Sounded like it was out of timing) and when I would apply the throttle it would get worse and stall out.

I feel like shit. I killed 9 Guinness last night and have no motivation at work today.
