what is the problem!!!!

Ok as I write this my car is sitting on the side of the road waiting for AAA and I am pissed..since I bought the car the car has stumbled from time to time when taking off from 1st and shifting to second and I thought that was me just messing up.

These symptoms were happening for the first month or so and after that month it stopped so I thought I had mastered the clutch and shifting..it happened very rarwly in between then but once again I thought it was my fault.

I have now had the car for 4 months now, and I was shifting great using the clutch good and all but today the RPMs were at about 6 or 700 rpm at idle and when I try to give it gas the car stumbles ALOT more than when I 1st got it and I thought it was me but now im sure its the car.

So to be more direct my car idles at about 700rpm and when I try to take off in 1st the car jerks back and forth repeatedly and when I try to shift to second it keeps doing it in second gear also and now in 3rd

Can you guys please help, any KNOWLEDGEABLE input is valued sorry if grammar is bad

BTW my mach is a 2003 5spd..no mods except MAC catback..car has 85000 miles on it..if there are any other questions feel free to ask

No CEL? It could be anything from a fuel filter to a bad connection at the crank sensor. A code would help narrow that down. When were the fuel filter, spark plugs, air filter, etc. changed last?

naw no light came on..the key fob that i have is not the original key so since i got the car the theft light has come on from time to time could that possibly be the problem?

If PATS is still enabled, I'm surprised the car would even start with a non-original key.

i really doubt you're having a PATS problem. its something out under the hood. start checking the basics, i.e. COPs, plugs, fuel filter, MAF, air filter, ect...

I had that problem with my old cobra and it was because I had extremely bad compression (cracked piston).

well the tech at ford tested my coils and 6 out of 8 came out bad. So i asked how much would it be to change em out an all and after taxes and labor it came out to 800+ bucks..GOSHFREAKINGGOLLY ford I mean honestlly i love ford i really do but so i told the guy ill just buy the coils myself and install em. I bought 5 of the 8 coils and will buy the othe other 3 this upcoming friday. That was about 3 days ago, and now im waiting for friday to come so I can buy the rest of the coils because my car has to be ready for its first mini road trip in whoch i will be driving me and my girl down to san diego to watch my RAVENS whoop some ass

until then i will test my old coils myself and see what comes of this by the way what are the specs of 03 mach 1 coils? or where can i find the specs? and hopefully this is the only problem
