New here have a few questions!

Okay, so I just bought a 99 cobra about two months ago. I wanted to get some opinions about the car. First off I love it and I used to be a big bowtie fan, however I am no longer! First things first. I did some research and I think the car has a 4.10 or 4.30 gear as running about 75/80mph on the highway I am just over 3k rpms. This could be wrong but just what I have gathered. The car has a Vortech E-trim kit on it. BBK long tube headers, full exhaust with high flow cats. Not really sure if any of the bottom end or heads have been messed with. The car only has 50k on it and Runs like a champ. I have no idea what kind of tune the car has and I havent had the time to take it to a shop. I was just wondering what some of you guys could predict as far as rwhp numbers the car might put down, and if I am correct about the gearing. Also the car has 295/35R18 I dont know if that inch is enough to really make that much a of a difference with the speedo. Any information/opinions would be greatly appreciated.
Oh, almost forgot. Would like to get some opinions on getting a new bottom end. I live in Atl GA and didnt know if I should go with a local shop to build it.

depending on what gear you were in, I think you have 3.73s , 4.10s are a possibility. all in all it sounds like you scored a nice Mustang & Welcome

3k at 75/80 is in 5th gear.
Umm I am not sure exactly how much boost. I really dont drive her too hard that much. But I know a few times I have glanced over at the gauge at 5-6k it looks to be about 8psi give or take. I would like to take it up to 12 or 14 once I get a forged bottom end.

If you want to know for certain what gears you have, place the rear axle on jackstands, place the transmission in neutral, and count the number of driveshaft revolutions it takes to make one complete turn of the tire. If the gears have been changed, you don't know if the speedometer has been corrected, so the XXXX rpm @ XX MPH isn't particularly accurate. The altered tire circumference will also throw that off.

depending on how much PSI your running, I would say high 300 to the wheels.

I would say mid to low 400s. I've seen many mach's with superchargers running around there with that much boost. I know my mach with twin turbo's and minimal timing put down 460 at the wheels. There is an awesome engine shop right there in Marrietta, GA called Proline Racing. Pro Line Racing

I plugged the numbers into one of the handy axle ratio optimization sheets I created for work and came out with this:

Assuming the T3650 has a 0.68 top gear, your tires are 772 rev/mi (295/35R18), I plugged those in to find approximate gear ratios.

80mph with 4.30:1 RAR puts you at 3009 RPM. Sounds about what you were guessing? If it were 4.10:1 it would only be 2869 RPM at 80 mph.
