2-piece headers (Flowtech, hooker, etc)

What needs to be done during install? Do I need to weld where they connect or are they snug enough to leave alone? They will also be wrapped.

Guessing you mean the drivers side is 2-piece so you dont have to disconnect the steering shaft, I had some Hookers on my 98gt that were the same way, the slip fit on the pipes was actually really tight, i didnt do anything to the connection and never had any leaks, plus with yours being wrapped you will probly never have a leak either. I say put them on, if it leaks you can always weld it through the wheel well later, but mine never leaked. Mine were coated as well, so i dont know that if your arent and the rust you might have a problem.

All I can say is completely remove the steering shaft before installing. There's a pinch bolt by the rack and one under the steering column. Disconnect both, yank it out of the engine compartment, install engine.

Also be forewarned, the two middle bottom bolts on the drivers side are a pain in the dick to tighten. Learn from all the time I wasted; Leave the engine mount hanging by the rearmost bolt, install headers, tighten header bolts, re-install motor mount front bolts and tighten down.
