2001 cobra weird idle...

I never really noticed this until the other day sitting in line at the car wash. After about 10 seconds or so I hear a pop noise that seems to come from the rear of the car, and the engine changes idle speed. It doesnt change by much, couple hundred rpms maybe. Then after another 10 seconds it pops again and changes back to its normal idle. It just keeps doing this over and over. Anyone have any ideas?

Was your air compressor running at the time (did you have the Defrost or AC on)?

Now that I think about it I'm sure it was. Never even thought about that. Haha thx for the replys guys. Next time I'm out I'll try with it on and without it on just to make sure.
