Ideal Clutch For A Stock 99 Cobra?
Hey guys I just picked up a 99 SVT Cobra and I'm new to the platform. It's got 111k on it, and the clutch is gonna be on its way out soon. Not like right now, but I just wanna decide now what clutch I should replace it with when the time comes. Nothing too special but something I could maybe grip/put down a little more power with instead of replacing with a factory clutch. Any suggestions?

Sounds like a good option, I didn't even think of that. Does anyone else have other options? I guess now I'm just split between the Ford Racing clutch and the Terminator one but I'm leaning towards the termi

A factory '03-'04 clutch won't work?
T56 clutches are 11.5", aren't they?

But the T56 clutch did seem much larger. If it's stock the FRPP one should be fine. And most importantly congrats on getting one sweet ass ride! Now you just need to post pics of it.

pretty sure all cobras 99-up anyways, have a 11" flywheel and clutch. Only the t-45 and t-5 equipped GTs came with 10.5" flywheels. Everything i can find online says it will work, and theres a guys in my CC that has a 99 cobra as well, and runs a termi clutch. i know he didnt change FW, pretty sure his PO didnt either. And i dunno where you saw that on AM, but every clutch on AM thats listed for an 03-04 cobra is listed for a 99-04 cobra. Check it.

Whoops.
Your 99 is built for the T45 which has a 10.5" clutch. The 01+ Cobras had an 11" clutch since they switched to the T3650. So you'll need something with a 10.5" clutch.

Actually the 99 Cobra with the T45 does use an 11" clutch. I put an 03 Termi clutch in my 99 and the disks were exactly the same diameter.
