What's the average price for an 03/04 Cobra?

Been looking for the perfect Mustang for me and I'm still trying to decide if I want an 05-08GT or mayb an 03/04 Cobra. My question is why are the 03/04 Cobras still so expensive(for being an almost 10 year old car they are retaining thier value very well)? What is an average/good price to pay for one? I still see some listed in the mid 20s. Is this an average price or can I find one in the 15K-17k range?

Iv seen a 03 cobra go for $20000 around here. They are the shit! It's all about supply and demand. Everyone wants them, but rarely are for sale. So when they are for sale, the $$ goes way up.

yes you could find a Cobra for around the $17k range but it could take a while to find one and then you also have to consider how many miles you want her to have. a lot will depend on how much you are willing to search and wait before you buy one

There is a wide spread.

I've seen high milage unmodified verts go as low as $14k in the right market. A lightly modded coupe might go as high as $25k+ in another. It depends on what you want and where you are, but they aren't cheap.

I would say mid 20's is average though.

yea that doesnt sound bad. it would be worth looking at as long as you can handle a vert

05-08 GTs aren't even in the same league as 03/04 Cobras. They're still expensive because they're the shit.

I see them pop up around me all the time anywhere from 12k up to 30k. The 12k had 75k on it but I have seen a few with under 40k on them for less than 20.

Winter IMO is the best time to buy one of these, prices tend to creep up in the spring.
As already stated I've seen them in the 14K-24K price range. All dependant upon mileage, condition and modifications.
I don't know where you live but Hi-End Auto has a great reputation for selling Terminators. He usually has 10-20 in stock. He is located in Appomatox Virginia, check out his website. I can tell you , he will negotiate on his prices. He's got anything from 5K unmodded cars to high milage heavily modded cars. His name is Robert and he has an onsite mechanic who goes over the cars he gets in. I picked up my 03 from him in October of 2010.
Good luck in your hunt.
