Ok guys so im getting ready to do a 01 cobra swap into my 01 v6. Im still new to mustangs and still figuring out some ins and outs of the swap. Im wondering if I will have to switch the fuel tank, lines and stuff. Will I have to use a cobra fuel pump??? I am about to pick up a whole car that has been wrecked so I will have everything if I need it. If someone could give me some info that would be great, thanks.

If I'm not mistaken, your 01 Cobra tank is the same as the 01 GT tank, which is the same as an 01 V6 tank. You might want to cross reference fuel pump part numbers just to be sure.

The only fuel tank that was significantly different was the 03/04 Cobra. That had a sump, baffles, and dual pumps. If you're looking for big power down the road now would be a good time to upgrade. It's actually pretty easy.

And do you have the 01 Cobra with you or near you? I've got an 01 Cobra harness and some questions about a few of the connectors. PM me your number if you could. I can certainly help you out with what it takes to do a Cobra swap.

Just verified, both the Cobra and V6 use fuel pump P/N 9275. You're welcome.
