About to have some new numbers!

A buddy of mine and I did the 2.3 Whipple install this weekend, along with some other stuff. Ran out of time so I'm gonna get the dyno/tune this week.
Super excited and just had to share with someone, my wife has got to be getting tired of hearing about it!

Any ideas as to what it's going to put down with the Whipple?

Running a 3.0 upper with stock lower, I've read anywhere from 540-570 rwhp on a gen1, I'm sure hoping for the big numbers! I've got pretty much every mod except for headers.

540-570rwhp sounds about right, I've got a 2.2L KB and put out 548rwhp on my mach1 but on a cool day

540-570 with a 3.0 pulley? how much boost is it going to make. i dont know much about the older gen whipples but i thought they put out about 15# with the 3.5 pulley so with a 3.0 i would expect 17-18#. i know every dyno reads diff but i have yet to get on a dyno with 18# and make less than 625 sae

Not sure yet on the numbers guys, was hoping to keep my factory clutch, only has 36K, but it was a no go,original owner must have been hard on it? McLeod twin disc going in today, hoping to dyno Thursday or Friday.
Stal94gt, I was kind of thinking the same thing on my set up, I've read numerous posts of guys with my exact same set up making 600 at the wheels, I was just figuring on mid to high 500's and hoping to see the 600 mark, we will see?

Your upgrading your input shaft with that nice new twin disk right? As for the older gen whipplesuperchargers I don't know the hp per pulley. I know they make gobs of low end tq when pullied down. Im hoping to get a race gas tune on my 2.9 with a 3.0 pulley my self to boost up the low end tq.

I have to agree with stal, the stock input shaft will never hold up to anywhere close to those numbers

Definetly upgrading to the 26 spline input shaft, it went in today. Made no sense not to at this point. I'm almost looking as much foward to the new feel of this clutch as I am the Whipple, almost. Going from a stock firewall adjust/quadrant and factory clutch to the McLeod twin disc and new firewall adjuster/quadrant should be really nice!
Thanks for the interst guys. Stal, the 2.9 with a 3.0 pulley and race tune, that will shove your eyeballs back in your skull for sure man!

Your gonna love that clutch setup! I have a RST Twin-disk in mine, and it is amazing. Aftermarket adjuster and quadrant too. The pedal feel and the driveability is second to none. But be prepared to spend some money in the future, you wont ever want to drive a single disk clutch again, lol.

Good to know, appreciate the feedback. I hear it's a huge difference. My stock one, as you know was stiff as nuts, and let out on the floor.
